Cypress Gardens sold for $16.8M
"Land South Holdings LLC, a Mulberry, Fla., investment group, bought Cypress Gardens Adventure Park Tuesday for $16.8 million. Kent Buescher, its most recent owner, will retain his status as chief executive officer of the Winter Haven tourist attraction that is one of Florida's oldest. The sale was part of a Macon, Ga., bankruptcy court's sale of the assets of Adventure Parks Group LLC, Buescher's company. Another park, Wild Adventures Park in Valdosta, Ga., was purchased by Herschend Family Entertainment of Missouri for $34.5 million. The Federal Middle District Court for Georgia is expected to approve the transactions Thursday." From the Orlando Business Journal.
