"The Hard Rock Park, the world’s first rock ‘n’ roll theme park, has gathered a head of steam in 2007 and is barreling toward its projected opening date in spring 2008 in Myrtle Beach. The $400 million, 140-acre music-themed amusement park is the conceptual idea from the world-famous Hard Rock Cafe restaurant/rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia museums. The park is ahead of schedule in construction and on budget, said park vice president of marketing and sales Kerry Graves." From South Carolina Now.

Government expresses disappointment in Hong Kong Disneyland
"The government of Hong Kong continues to be disappointed in the operational numbers coming from Hong Kong Disneyland, and will continue to make strides to improve the park, according to media reports Wednesday. The government holds a 57 percent stake in the park, with the Walt Disney Co. (NYSE: DIS) holding the other 43 percent. Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development Frederick Ma said that the park has come in below attendance estimates for a second consecutive year. No official figures have been released for the current year, but fell short of its initial estimate of 5.6 million visitors in its first year. The Associated Press cites local media reports estimating 4.8 million people visited the park in its second year" From Los Angeles Business from bizjournals.
