Test Track

General Motors Test Track features one of the most
advanced ride systems in theme parks today, with computer controlled vehicles that have most of
the capabilities of real cars -- speed, maneuverability, quick stops, and fast turns. It looks
like the world's largest slot car set.
The ride combines a few thrills with an educational tour of the way GM tests new cars: driving up steep grades, over rough pavements, around hairpin turns, through heat, cold, and corrosives, and, oh, yeah, watch out for that crash test. The ride has a zippy finish with a lap around the building at 65 mph (or so -- speed checked by radar).
It's a fun ride, but it still tends to break down every so often so the lines stay long all day. Get a FASTPASS early or, if you're alone or don't care if your party has to ride in separate vehicles, use the single rider line to cut down on the wait.
After the ride, check out the displays of new cars and automotive technology from GM.
Where To?
Test Track is on the West side of Future World beside Mission: SPACE.
